The SFT has been informed and is proud to say that the winner of the Voice 2014, Jermain Jackman, was one of the students we sponsored at the Anna Fiorentini Theatre and Film School.
For several years the SFT has been funding a group of students at Anna’s school. Jemain was the recipient of our funding and has now gone onto great things.

A HUGE congratulations to Owen Griffith for running not one, but TWO Half Marathons in one month in support of the Stuart Feakins Trust (and raising over £1500 in the process). Owen completed the first leg of his journey in the Sheffield Half Marathon, before returning to Hackney to compete in the Hackney Half Marathon on 10 May.
Owen said, “Stuart was a dear friend who is deeply missed by us all, and the Trust continues the work that was so important to him. He was an inspirational man who achieved great things for the young people of Hackney.”
We’d like to thank him for his amazing efforts. Please keep supporting us and the good causes we sponsor, download our monthly standing order form, BE A PART, PLAY A PART IN THEIR FUTURE.
The Stuart Feakins Trust is proud to announce a donation to the Learning Trust to provide horse riding sessions for children with special educational and complex needs. A total of 30 children from 6 different primary schools will visit Lee Valley Riding Centre in Leyton during the summer holidays where children will have the chance to take riding lessons over a period of 6 weeks. The Stuart Feakins Trust has funded these sessions in previous years and has had excellent feedback on the success of the sessions. It gives the children the chance to leave their routine environment and to experience a new activity. Our trustee Dorothy Feakins will be visiting a riding session over the summer and we look forward to updating you on the progress of the sessions.
On the 19th of September Andy, Simon, Daniel and Nick set out on their 2200km journey back to Hackney from Denia, Spain in Stuart’s memory. They embarked on their incredible journey, experiencing some stunning scenery and quite a few ups and downs.
They arrived back to a packed out welcome home party at Pub on the Park in Hackney, where friends and family were waiting to congratulate them on their emotional journey. After some beers and tears, and a few speeches, exhaustion set in they were ready for a very long sleep.
Their ultimate goal was to raise money for The Stuart Feakins Trust and Great Ormand Street Hospital. Money is still coming in, so thank to everyone who donated, it will go a long way to carry on Stuart’s legacy of supporting disadvantaged young people.
